Awards & Achievements

Floralies International Festival:

 

I designed and built a ‘Scottish Upland’ Show Garden and won first prize in the 1997 Floralies Exhibition in Panazol, Limoges, France.

 

Heritage Lottery Funding:

I designed and then successfully applied for Heritage Lottery Funding for the restoration of Peel Park, Kirkintilloch. 
This included, along with the landscape improvements, historical interpretation, restoration of the Victorian bandstand and reinstatement of the cast iron gates and railings.
Project Value: £750,000.00  The Antonine Wall runs through the park which was a Scheduled Ancient Monument at the time.  It is now a World Heritage Site.

Gardening Scotland

I designed the layout for a show garden for the Dry Stone Walling Association of Scotland at Gardening Scotland 2010, achieving a Bronze Medal

Homes & Interiors Scotland:

My Contemporary West End Garden was featured in an 11 page article in the May/June 2011 edition of Homes and Interiors Scotland.

Beechgrove Garden:

I designed a garden for Lenzie Primary School which was featured in the Beechgrove Garden TV programme’s Community Corner

BBC Radio Scotland:



I discussed the Restoration Project for the Listed Luggie Water Aqueduct and my surrounding Landscape Design with Jimmie Macgregor for a BBC Radio Scotland programme on the Forth and Clyde Canal.
