Walled Garden

I designed the layout, arbours and planting plan for the Craigend Walled Garden at Mugdock Country Park outside Milngavie. The site was originally an overgrown and abandoned sloping site, which I terraced to create a level parterre, connected by steps and sloping paths to the lower level lawns which are used as an events space. Subsequently a bandstand has been built. The planting was arranged in themed beds to create a demonstration garden, and the majority of the original planting scheme is still in place. The Walled Garden is maintained by Mugdock and has become a popular destination within the Country Park. Please scroll down to view the plan and some images of the garden.
